3/4 c. butter or margarine
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
grated peel of 1 lemon
3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. broken walnuts
juice of 1 lemon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and 2 cups of sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and blend well. Add milk and lemon peel and blend. Sift together flour and baking powder and stir into first mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Turn batter into a well-greased bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350 for 60 minutes. Cool cake in pan 10 minutes. Combine remaining 1/2 c. sugar with lemon juice, blend and pour over warm cake in pan. Cool cake completely before removing from pan.
