4 qts sliced cucumbers
6 medium onions, sliced
2 green bell peppers, sliced
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup salt
5 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp turmeric
1 1/2 tsp celery seed
2 T mustard seed
3 cups apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Take cucumbers, garlic, onions and bell pepper, (have all sliced), put in dishpan or long pan ( I used my crisper in ice box). Cover with crushed ice or ice cubes, after sprinkling salt over all. Mix and let stand for 3 hours. Drain thoroughly. Combine other ingredients, and heat until boiling. Seal in hot sterilized jars.

This recipe was in the 60th anniversary collection put together by the sons and daughters of Mary Elizabeth Hamilton Finley and Claude Bailey Finley, Sr on April 2, 1988. The recipe was tested by Mary Elizabeth Finley but given to her by Florence Hardy.
