1/2 cup cold water 1/4 tsp salt 4 tbsp cornstarch 1 1/3 cup hot water 1 1/8 cup sugar 3 eggs separated juice and rind of 1 lemon 1 tbsp butter
mix cold water, salt, and corn starch, combine hot water and sugar, add to cornstarch mixture and thicken, stir in beaten egg yolks, cook few more minutes more, add lemon juice and rind pour into baked pie shell, top with meringue
