For Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the sour cream and mix until incorporated. Sift the baking soda and flour together. Add to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg 1 at a time. Add the vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes.

For Custard

Mix together cream cheese, condensed milk and whipped topping in a bowl; set aside.

For Glaze
In a medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch and Jell-O, add water.
Cook, stirring over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely, then fold in strawberries.

Top a slice of warm pound cake with the custard and a dollop of the strawberry mixture. Garnish with a strawberry...Enjoy!!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe is stolen from Paula Deen simply because it is the best strawberry shortcake in the world! In fact, Mama requested it as her birthday cake last year. It is delicious...definitely worth the time and effort. Of course, a store bought pound cake could be used, but there is just nothing better than the warm, moist pound cake!
