3-4 lbs ground beef
5-6 garlic cloves,minced
1 1/2 large onion chopped
3 large cans chopped tomatoes, with juice
3-4 Tbsp chili powder (add more to taste)
3 tsp dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup cornmeal
4 cups beef broth

Directions:
Directions:
Saute beef until brown. Transfer to slow cooker. Add all other ingredients and stir to blend. Adjust spices to taste.
Cover and cook on low 6 hours.

I add the chili powder a little at a time so I don't over do it. Also use Trader Joes frozen garlic cloves--they're easy to use.
