1 cup sugar,
3 Tbls. cornstarch (rounded),
2 1/2 cups milk,
1/4 tsp. salt,
1 tsp. vanilla,
3 egg yolks.

Directions:
Directions:
Stir and cook over medium heat until it thickens. Add 1/4-1/2 cups coconut. Pout into cooked pie shell.

Beat 3 egg whites with 6 Tbls. sugar, 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Put on top of pie and then sprinkle with coconut.

Bake 20 minutes at 325.
