8 eggs
2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 c. self-rising flour
ICING:
4 c. sugar
8 T. cocoa
4 sm. cans evaporated milk
2 sticks butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, beating well. Add milk alternately with flour; add vanilla. Put 3/4 cup of batter in well greased 9 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 until done, about 10 to 12 minutes. Layers will be thin. Let cool.
Ice with chocolate icing. Mix sugar and cocoa, stir in milk. Bring to a boil, and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in butter and vanilla. Spread on warm layers.
