1 stick margarine
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb (large) can chocolate syrup

Icing:
3/4 stick margarine
2 sq. bitter chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box sifted confectioners sugar
3 to 4 tsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs, flour, baking powder, vanilla and syrup. After this is mixed, pour the batter into a greased and floured pan, 9x13 inches. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Icing: Melt margarine and bitter chocolate in top of double boiler; cool. Add sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make the right consistency to spread.
