Pout 1 cup boiling water over 1 cup All Bran, let stand to cool.

Mix: 1 1/4 cup sugar,
1 cup plus 1 1/2 Tbl. shortening,
2 eggs,
2 cup Bran Buds,
3 cups flour,
2 1/2 tsp. soda,
1 pint buttermilk

Directions:

Mix and add cooled bran mix. Put in uncovered jar. Will keep in refrigerator for 6 weeks.

To use, spoon into muffin cups and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes.
