3 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. cold water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. nuts, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, syrup and water in pan over slow heat. Stir only until sugar is dissolved, then cook until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a hard ball. Beat egg whites until stiff. Continue beating, while pouring a small amount of syrup at a time into the eggs. Continue to cook the syrup until all is added. Add vanilla and nuts; drop by teaspoon on wax paper.
