Ingredients:  
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup cooked mashed carrots
1 egg unbeaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
cream shortening and sugar until fluffy, add carrots, egg and vanilla, mix well, sift together dry ingredients, add to carrot mixture, mix well, drop batter teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake @ 350 about 20 minutes----cool and ice

Golden Glair Frosting
combine juice of one orange
grated rind of one orange
2 tbsp butter
2 cups powdered sugar
mix well and spread over cookies
