1/2 c shortening
1 cup sugar
1/2 c peanut butter
1 egg
2 TBSP milk
1 1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar until light, beat in peanut butter, egg and milk. Sift together salt, soda and flour. Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture. Place dough on lightly floured wax paper. Roll into 15x8x1/4 inch rectangle. Melt chocolate over hot water (or in microwave). Cool slightly. Spread over dough. Roll like jelly roll, lifting waxed paper slightly. Chill 1/2 hour (too long and the chocolate is too hard to cut!). Slice 1/4 inch thick and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen
