1 - 16 oz jar maraschino cherries with stems, drained and dry

3 tbsp butter, softened
3 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
2 c confectioners sugar
reserved juice from cherries

1/2 milk and 1/2 dark chocolate, melted.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, syrup, salt and powdered sugar in bowl. Add enough cherry juice to make a dough. Form into a ball, wrap in plastic and chill 1-2 hours.

Take marble sized piece of dough, flatten it out and wrap around each cherry. Put on wax paper lined cookie sheet, chill 1-2 hours till firm.

Melt candy over low heat.

Holding stems, dip each cherry into coating and set into individual candy wrappers. Chill.
