Firm winter apples
cinnamon
nutmeg
honey
butter
water

Directions:
Directions:
Wash firm apples well. Core- but not quite all the way through. Place apples in shallow pan. In the cavity of each apple, add 1/2" cube of butter, a dash (about 1/16 of a teaspoon) of cinnamon and nutmeg, and one teaspoon of honey. Pour 2 cups of water over the apples and let the rest go into the bottom of the pan. (You may use one part wine to one part water if desired) Bake uncovered in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes or until tender (time may vary depending upon apple size)
