4 large onions, thinly sliced
1/4 c. butter or margarine
5 c. boiling water
5 Beef bouillon cubes
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
2 French or hard rolls, sliced and toasted
grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Add beef bouillon cubes to the boiling water, stirring until dissolved. Cook onions in butter until lightly brown, about 20 minutes. Add to the beef broth. Add Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle toast with Parmesan cheese; place under broiler until cheese is lightly browned. Pour in bowls and float toast slices atop.
