1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 can chopped green chili's mild, or your preference
1 28 oz. can tomato sauce
2 14 1/2 oz cans chili ready diced tomatoes
1 16 oz. can dark red kidney beans
1 15 oz. can Mexican-style chili beans
1 15 oz can tomato puree
1 T. Chili powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a 6-8 qt. dutch oven, brown ground beef with the onion. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer, covered for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. ( I have been placing in the oven at 325 and it doesn't scorch.)
If you like, garnish with sour cream, shredded cheese. It is good served with corn bread.

This is a new recipe I discovered this year in the Midwest Living magazine. We really like it. I will fix this for Christmas and we will see how it goes over
