Directions:
Heat Milk and add Lard. Add Sugar. Add Salt. Blend together. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve Yeast in Water for 10 minutes. Mix the Nuts and Raisins together and divide into 3 parts. Mix the Mace with the Flour. Add only 3 CUPS of the Flour/Mace mixture to Milk mixture. Beat in Eggs. Mix in yeast. Gradually add REMAINING Flour/Yeast mixture. Mix and knead smooth. Let rise until double in bulk. Divide dough into 3 parts. Roll out 1 part and divide into 3 strips about 4x12 inches. Take 1 part of the Nut/Raisin mixture and spread it evenly onto the 3 strips. Repeat with other 2 parts of dough. Let rise until double in bulk. Grease tops with melted butter. Bake at 350 alt-0186 for 1 hour. Put foil over tops for last 20 minutes. Brush tops with butter.
