12 ounces minced clams
1 cup onions, finely chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
2 cups potatoes, finely chopped
3/4 pound butter
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
pepper to taste
1 quart Half and Half

Directions:
Directions:
Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables in medium saucepan. Add enough water to barely cover. Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender. (About 20 minutes)
In another fry pan, melt butter, add flour, blend and cook a minute or two. Add cream, cook and stir until thick.
Add to undrained vegetables. Add clams. Heat through, season to taste.
