3.4 c. butter
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 c ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla; add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add chocolate. Sift cake flour and soda, add alternately with ice water, starting and finishing with dry ingredients. Grease 3 (8-inch) cake pans and line with waxed paper; bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
