6 egg whites
1 1/2 teas. ream of tartar
1 1/2 cups sugar

6 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
1 grated lemon
4 1/2 T lemons juice

2 half pints whipping cream & a little powered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with electric mixer-adding sugar slowly.Then add tartar.Bake in 9z13 greased pan at 275 for i hour.
After it is baked, cook yolks,sugar,lemon grate and juice in double boiler whisking continually until thick-then let cool.
After it is completely cooled, whip the whipping cream and powered sugar together.Fold in the cooled lemon mix.
Pour into baked meringue base.
