24 saltine crackers
2 medium-large sweet onions
2 cups milk
5 beaten eggs
Pepper
3 TBS butter
2 cups sharp grated cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Line a 9” X 13” casserole with the saltines. Slice the onions into rings and sauté in butter till transparent. Place onions on crackers. Mix all other ingredients except cheese together until smooth and pour gently over the onions. Arrange grated cheese on top and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes, covered with a towel, until time to cut and serve.
