1 cup flour
1 cup yellow corn meal
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 larger egg
dash red or black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, meal, and sugar. Add salt, baking powder and pepper. Add egg and milk. Mix until stiff. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot deep oil. Remove when golden. Drain on paper towels
