2 c. sifted flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 t. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. mashed ripe banana
3/4 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together shortening, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Blend in banana, then flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly in greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake 20-25 minute at 350 degrees. Cool 15 minute and then cut into bars and finish cooling on rack.
