½ cup sourdough starter ½ cup water 1 cup flour 1 egg slightly beaten ½ tsp salt ½ tsp soda – try 1 tsp soda 3 TBSP melted butter or veg oil
Mix the starter & water & flour in a large bowl. Cover & let stand overnight. Add egg, salt, soda & ½ tsp oil, stir well. Use remaining oil to brush griddle & coat inside of 3” rings. Bake 7 min until bubbles on top have broken & dry. Turn over, remove ring with fork. Bake until brown. Heat griddle to 350 F
