1 cup oleo softened
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon flavoring

Cream butter gradually add sugar, beating well
add eggs one at a time, beating well after each one
combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture
alternating with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture, add flavoring
Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 13x 9 inch pans
Bake @ 350 foe about 20 minutes

1/2 cup oleo, softened
juice of one lemon
1 tsp grated lemon rind packed
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
beat butter and vanilla, add powdered sugar and lemon juice alternating to desired consistency
