1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
small onion diced fine
1 1/2 teas. salt
1/2 green pepper chopped fine
1/8 teas pepper
1/2 cup minute rice mixed with 1/2 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In large kettle, add 1 T butter & 3 T flour and mix well. Then add 1 pint or more of canned tomato juice and 1/2 can of water. Add 1/2 teas salt and 1/4 cup sugar.
Mix the meat and rice ingredients into small meat balls and add them to the boiling tomato sauce mixture. Cover and cook slowly for at least an hour
