1 1/2 cup apple sauce
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oleo
2 cup flour
1 cup raisins
1 cup nuts
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp soda
2 tbsp hot water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves

Dissolve soda in hot water and set aside
cream oleo, add sugar and egg, beat until light and fluffy.
add the applesauce and soda water
sift dry ingredients, mix with raisins and nuts and add to the creamed mixture
Bake @ 350 until toothpick comes out clean
