1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal
1 package chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream shortening and sugars, add eggs. Mix in sifted flour, soda and salt. Fold in oatmeal, chips, etc. Bake for 10 minutes.
