Beef Cubes & Gravy Recipe

1 1/2 lbs. beef cubes
2 T. oil
1 c. boiling water
3 beef bouillon cubes or 1 can beef broth
1/4 c. catsup
1 T. mustard
2 cloves garlic
1 dash tobasco
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt

2 lg. onions quartered
1 lg. green pepper sliced
1/2 c. sliced mushrooms

Brown beef cubes in oil. Add water, bouillon, catsup, mustard, chopped garlic, tobasco, salt and pepper. Simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Add more water if necessary.
Then add onions and cook 10 mins. Add green pepper and mushrooms and simmer 20 minutes more or until vegetables are tender. In separate bowl mix 2 T. flour into 1/4 c. water and stir into broth to thicken.
Serve over noodles, rice, popovers or potato.
