6-8 medium potatoes, peeled and diced 4 oz. cream cheese (half a block) 4 T. butter 1 pkg. dry ranch dressing mix 1/3 C. milk
Bring water to a boil in a large pan. Add potatoes and boil until cooked (they are done when you poke them with a fork and they break apart easily). Drain water. Add cream cheese, butter, ranch mix, and milk and mash. You can keep adding milk until potatoes are smooth or if you like chucky potatoes you can leave it chucky.
