1 Family Size Bag Okra
2 Cans Petite Cut Can Tomatoes
2 - 3 Slices of Bacon
1/2 - 1/4 cut (diced very small) onion
1 tbsp sugar (secret ingredient)

Directions:
Directions:
1/ Fry bacon until crispy brown. Leave the seasoning, add the onion cook until onion is soft. Add can tomatoes, after simmering sprinkle sugar, salt, pepper, to taste.
Add one bag of okra, bring to a boil then lower heat to a simmer until okra is done. Serve hot!

My Moma told me, as I remember, my great-great grandmother(Mama Bridger) was feeding me foods like this and collard greens when I was three-four months old. Maybe that's why I love southern foods as much as I do?
