Val's Beef Brisket Recipe

1 beef brisket
2 tsp paprika
1 can potatoes or parboiled potatoes
2 carrots (chopped)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp nutmeg

Broth mixture:
2 1/2 cups beef broth
2 small onions (diced) or one large onion
2 garlic cloves (diced)
2 celery stalks (diced)

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle beef with paprika. Brown each side in 450º oven for 10 min each side.

On stove top, add all broth mixture ingredients in sauce pan and cook until vegetables are translucent.

Then, with fat side down, add broth mixture to the brisket, cover and cook at 350º for three hours. 1/2 hour before it is done, add parboiled or one can of potatoes and carrots dipped in olive oil, then flour. and sprinkled with nutmeg.
