1 small onion, chopped fine
1 potato chopped fine
1 cup chopped cabbage
1 pkg. lumpia wrappers

Directions:
Directions:
Fry beef in a big pan-no grease added. When beef is done, put aside-then put onion in pan-when done add potatoes. Than add cabbage. Mix all together with the meat and cook for about 30 minutes-stir constantly. Mixture should be pretty dry. Wrap 1 Tablespoon of mixture in each lumpia wrapper and use beaten egg white or toothpicks to seal closed. Then fry wrappers until light brown-just a few minutes. May be served with Sweet Sour Sauce.

Sweet Sour Sauce

1 cup water
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. sugar
tsp. salt
1 tsp. soy sauce

Bring to a boil and add 1 tbsp. corn starch dissolved in 1 to 1 tsp. water. Continue to boil until done.

This recipe was one of several favorites of my Granddaddy, Eugene R. Vogel, while he was stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines as Chief of Ground Safety from 1963 to 1967.
