1C. raisins
1C. water
3/4 C.butter or margarine
1 1/2C. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2C. rolled oats
1/2C. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine raisins and water in a saucepan and simmer over low heat until raisins are plump (20 to 30 min.). Drain raisins, putting liquid into a measuring cup and add enough water to make 1/2 C. Heat oven to 400. Mix butter/margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in raisin liquid. Stir baking powder, soda, salt, spices and flour into butter/margarine mixture. Add oatmeal, nuts and raisins. Mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 min. or until lightly browned.
