1 qt Strawberries (or Cherries)
1/2 stick Margarine
3/4 to 1 1/2 c Sugar (to taste)
1/3 c Sugar
3/4 c Milk
2 tbsp Shortening
1 c Self-Rising Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat fruit, margarine, 3/4 to 1 1/2 c sugar until margarine melts. While fruit mixture is cooking, mix together 1/3 c sugar, milk, shortening, and flour. Pour batter into a 2 qt casserole dish. Pour fruit mixture over batter. Bake at 350 for 35-40 min.
