2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Sauce:
1 1/2 cups orange juice (with pulp)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp grated orange rind

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each one.Add sifted dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes in a greased and floured pan.

Mix ingredients for the sauce and bring to a boil. Pour on cake as soon as cake is removed from the oven.
