2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 15 oz. can pure pumpkin
2 T. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1/2 c. chopped nuts
ORANGE GLAZE: 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 to 3 T. orange juice
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Combine butter & sugars in large mixer bowl, beat until creamy. Add egg, pumpkin, juice & peel; beat until combined. Gradually add flour mixture; beat until combined. Stir in nuts. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 - 14 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Spread each cookie with about 1/2 tsp. orange glaze. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
