1 1/2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in...
2 TBSP white vinegar

1 1/2 cup flour
nuts (optional)
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt

1/2 cup melted shortening
1 cup mashed banana

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg, sugar and salt together

Mix with the dissolved soda and vinegar

Mix with the melted shortening and banana

Mix in flour and optional nuts or chocolate chips

Pour into sprayed baking pan

Bake on 350 for 45 minutes - 1 hour

If you use individual sized pans check at 20 - 30 minutes. Do no under cook for best results
