First measurement is the original recipe. Measurements in parenthesis were handwritten on the side.

1/2 (3/4) c margarine or butter
1 (1 1/2) c firmly packed brown sugar
pinch salt
4 (6) tbsp moil
2 (3) c sifted powdered sugar
1/2 (3/4) tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine/butter in pan. Stir in brown sugar. Add milk. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar gradually. Add vanilla and mix well.
