Dilly Bread Recipe

1 package yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. cottage cheese
2 T. sugar
1 T. instant minced onion
1 T. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dill seed
1/4 tsp. soda
1 egg
2 1/4 - 2 1/2 c. flour

Sprinkle yeast over water. Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm. Combine in mixing bowl with sugar, onion, butter, salt, dill seed, soda, egg and yeast.
Add flour a little at a time to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
Let rise until double (50-60 minutes).
Stir down. Turn into well-greased 1 1/2 quart round casserole.
Let rise until light (30-40 minutes).
Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.
