2 sticks butter
1/2 cup crisco
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar, butter, and crisco. Add eggs, baking powder, salt, vanilla, then add in flour 1 cup at a time with milk as needed.
bake at 350 for about an hour until done when tested.

Lucille makes this cake for us every holiday season and we always have guests at the Christmas Eve Party going right for the cake! Use the 7 minute icing and top with coconut. Unbelievably good!!
