Classic French Bread Recipe

1 1/2 cup Water
3 1/4 cup White Bread Flour
2 tblsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Instant Yeast or 3 tsp Active Dry Yeast

Place all ingredients into bread machine, select wheat setting and bake
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Set bread maker to dough setting, When cycle is complete, remove dough and cutin half. Roll out dough into a 9x11in square with a rolling pin.Roll square into a coil and pinch together to seal.

Place on a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal. Slash top 3 times about 1/2 inch deep.

Cover and let rise for about 1 hour or doubled in size.

Place a pan of ice water on the bottom rack of the oven to create steam. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
