Saute 1 onion and 1/2 green onion in butter. Dredge cube steak with flour and cook in a skillet. Add mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup mix and dry package of onion soup mix.

Simmer slowly and just before serving sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
