1 potato per person
butter
salt & pepper
sour cream
chives
bacon bits
shredded cheese
chili
steamed veggies

Directions:
Directions:
Wash potato skin very well. Make sure you remove all dirt. Stab potato about 5-8 times with a fork or knife. Place potato in oven at 350 for 30-45 minutes. Skin will be crunchy and you can easily slide a fork into the potato.
Remove from oven and add your choice of the above listed ingredients.

If you wrap the potato in foil, you still need to stab it so it has steam vents. You don't want an exploded potato. Foil keeps in the moisture and prevents the skin from becoming crispy. I prefer baked over steamed. Of course you can microwave the spud too. Remember to vent the little darling.
