2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup buttermilk 2 tablespoons butter 2 1/3 cups pecans, chopped
Combine sugar, baking soda and buttermilk Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly Add butter and pecans and cook additional 5 minutes Remove from heat and stir until mixture is no longer glossy Drop by tablespoon onto wax paper Cool before storing in an airtight container
