1 whole chicken
Large onion
4 stalks of celery
4 large carrots

8 T. butter
8 T. flour
4 c. broth
4 c. cream or milk

1 bag frozen peas and carrots

1 pie crust (Grandma K)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook first four ingredients in enough water to cover chicken, simmer till cook thru (1-2 hours). Remove bones from chicken and strain the broth. Reserve the broth.

Melt butter, whisk in flour, and add the liquid. Cook till thickened and add the chicken, peas and carrots. Pour into a 9 X 13 pan and cover with pie crust.

Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
