5 medium granny smith apples
1 can (16 oz.) whole-berry cranberry sauce
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp flour

Topping
1/4 cup walnuts chopped
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. group cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Prepare filling. Peel, core and slice apples. Cut apple slices in half and place slice in a 9 X 13 dish. Mix cranberry sauce with sugar and flour, then toss mixture with apple slices in dish.

Prepare topping: Chop walnuts finely. Mix walnuts with oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Mix in melted butter, then sprinkle topping evenly over apple- cranberry mixture. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until topping is golden brown and fruit is tender.
