Ingredients:
Ingredients:
whole beef tenderloin
butter
2-3 onions
garlic salt
paprika
1-2 boxes fresh mushrooms
tomato sauce
sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
At least 24 hours before your dinner, make the Stroganoff like this: Dice 2-3 med. onions and saute' them in butter until transparent. Set aside. Cut a beef tenderloin into 4 or 5 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. Cook very rapidly until brown. The inside of each strip should be rare. Just do a few strips at a time. Season with garlic salt, paprika, a little pepper. Add melted butter to keep the meat from sticking. Set aside. Saute the mushrooms and then toss into the bowl with the meat , then add onions and enough sour cream to coat the mixture generously. Add enough tomato sauce to color. Place all of this in a buttered flat pan ( I use a 9X13). You kids all have the silver casserole from Carol and Bruce so that works
beautifully.. Cover with foil and place in refrigerator for 24 hours At least 30 -35 minutes take out of refrigerator and remove foil. Then place in preheated oven for 1/2 hour. Bake at 375

I have also used sirloin steak many times and done the meat the same way. It is a lot less expensive. You can also cut down ingredients for fewer people.
