1 cup sugar
6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Measure out all the ingredients so that they're ready to go. Heat sugar on high in a heavy-bottomed 2-3 quart pan, stirring constantly with a whisk.

As soon as the sugar is melted, remove the pan from the heat and add butter. When the butter is melted, whisk in cream and vanilla.

Serve over ice cream, sliced apples, brownies, etc.
