1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. vinegar
5 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup water
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Make three wells and add vinegar, oil, and vanilla in the separate wells. Pour water over the top and mix it all together. Pour into an 8 x 8 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and sugar on top. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean (besides melted chocolate chips).

This recipe is from one of my college professors. She has fed this very simple cake to students many times, adding M&Ms, sprinkles, Reese Pieces, marshmallows, pretty much anything you think sounds good!
